Vehicle Tax discount
If you are getting the standard rate of the mobility component, you can get a 50% discount off your Vehicle Tax. The discount has to be for a vehicle that is used by or for you.

Blue Badge
You could get a Blue Badge to help you with parking, if:

In England, you have been awarded:
-
at least eight points for the moving around activity in the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) test, OR
-
ten points for the going out activity in the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) test because you are unable to undertake any journey because of overwhelming psychological distress.

If you struggle with journeys but did not get awarded points as 'unable to undertake any journeys' you may still be able to get a Blue Badge.

In Scotland or Wales, you have been awarded 12 points or more for the planning and following journeys activity in the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) test or 8 points or more for the moving around activity in the PIP test.

In Northern Ireland, you have been awarded 8 points or more for the moving around activity in the PIP test.

You may be able to get a Blue Badge if you have a disability, whether physical or mental, which affects your ability to get about, even if you don't get PIP. You can find more information about people who may get a Blue Badge on Gov.UK website.
Disabled person’s bus pass
You could get free bus travel in your local area.

Wales: You can apply online for a bus pass, if you get:

8+ points for the Communicating Verbally activity in the PIP test

12+ points for the Planning and Following Journeys activity in the PIP test

8+ points for the Moving Around activity in the PIP test

Northern Ireland
