If you are pregnant or have a child under four years old and live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland, you could get help from Healthy Start Vouchers to buy some basic foods.

How much will I get from Healthy Start Scheme?
You get money added on your Healthy Start card worth:
- £4.25 a week if you are pregnant (from the tenth week of your pregnancy)
- £8.50 a week for each baby aged under one
- £4.25 a week for each child aged over one but under four.
How will I get help from Healthy Start Scheme?
You’ll get your Healthy Start card by post with your first payment on it and instructions on how to activate and use it. You will get money added onto this card every 4 weeks. The card can be used in most places that sell milk, infant formula, fruit and vegetables.
Healthy Start Scheme and other benefits
Money added on your Healthy Start card will not count as income when working out your entitlement to other benefits.
