Turn2us Data Sharing Agreement
This is the Data Sharing Agreement between Turn2us and organisations who create Myturn2us accounts to support their clients.
This agreement is between the Adviser (the person or organization named in the online registration, called the "Data Controller") and Elizabeth Finn Care T/A Turn2us, with its registered office at Hythe House, 200 Shepherds Bush Road, W6 7NL (called the "Data Processor"). It explains how both parties will handle and protect personal data, following the law.
We follow the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). Turn2us processes client personal data for the Adviser. When a Data Controller uses a Data Processor, there must be an agreement. Article 28 of GDPR outlines how this relationship should be managed.
Turn2us processes personal information to help with benefits calculations and grants searches. This includes sensitive information about physical, mental, economic, cultural, and social identity. All personal data is collected through an online form and stored securely in the Turn2us database. This data is kept for 18 months and then anonymised.
Turn2us processes data to provide the following services: managing client information and calculations with the Benefits Calculator and PIP Helper and matching clients with grants they can apply for with the Grants Searches. Turn2us and the Adviser must ensure data is processed fairly and legally, used for specific purposes, adequate and not excessive, accurate and up to date, not kept longer than necessary, processed in line with individual rights, kept secure, and not transferred outside the European Economic Area without protection. Special attention to security measures must be taken to prevent unauthorized access or accidental loss.
Turn2us will ensure employees handling data are trustworthy and trained, protect personal data from unauthorized access, loss, or damage, report any security breaches to the Adviser immediately, notify if a client asks to access their data or files a complaint, help with any complaints or data requests, not share data without the Adviser's written consent, and follow all reasonable requests from the Adviser to prove compliance.
The Adviser can ask Turn2us to stop processing personal data, correct any personal data, confirm and provide copies of any data disclosures, and assist with inquiries from the Information Commissioner. If this agreement ends, Turn2us will stop processing personal data immediately and destroy or return all personal data and confirm this to the Adviser, unless prevented by law.
By agreeing to this Data Sharing Agreement when you register for a Myturn2us account, you confirm that Turn2us complies with all data protection laws.
