Transferring to Pension Age Disability Payment from other benefits

Transferring from Attendance Allowance to Pension Age Disability Payment

If you are already getting Attendance Allowance or Disability Living Allowance you won’t need to reapply. Your claim will be transferred to a claim for Pension Age Disability Payment. Social Security Scotland have said that this process will begin in February 2025.

Your payment amounts and how often you get them should stay the same. Social Security Scotland will send you a letter, outlining the process and how long it should take.

Transferring from Adult Disability Payment to Pension Age Disability Payment

If you already get Adult Disability Payment, you will not transfer to Pension Age Disability Payment when you reach State Pension age. You will remain on Adult Disability Payment.
