Get the system working for you and for us all
If you find the prospect of applying for benefits daunting you are not alone. Our recent YouGov survey reveals that nearly two-thirds of UK adults think benefits eligibility is confusing.
About our campaign
Turn2us aims to get the system working for everyone with our improved Benefits Calculator showing you what benefits are available to you. And for all of us who may need support in the future, we are calling for a fairer, compassionate, more accessible benefits system and are committed to transforming the way benefits are viewed.
It's time to #GetTheSystemWorking, ensuring all of us have easy access to essential support for thriving, not just surviving.
Get support
If you are struggling with living costs, do a 10 minute benefits calculation and get the system working for you.
See what could be available to you with the Turn2us Benefits Calculator
77% of survey respondents believe it would be challenging to claim benefits if their circumstances changed. The Turn2us Benefits Calculator is here to help you see what’s available and take those first few steps to maximizing your income.
In 2023 alone, our free Benefits Calculator helped 1.6 million users to identify new benefits that they could claim. Recent improvements made to this easy-to-use online tool simplify the process even more, showing you benefits you are eligible for whilst also pointing you toward additional support such as grants.
Support for your situation
We know that too many of us missing out on available benefits are disabled, single parents or carers. That’s why Turn2us have created simple overviews of the various benefits and grants that you might be able to claim, based on your situation.
Disabled, ill or injured
If you are disabled, sick or have a health condition, are terminally ill, or have an injury, extra help might be available.
Disabled, ill or injuredSingle parents
If you are bringing up a child alone, there may be benefits, grants or other financial support available to you.

We believe that we can only succeed if we work together – with partner organisations, with individuals, with you. Join the Turn2us community to help challenge the perceptions around benefits, provide tools to help navigate the process and ensure that everyone has access to the support they need.
With nearly half of survey respondents (49%) feeling shame or unworthiness around claiming benefits, we know a more compassionate approach is needed.

Our Turn2us Ambassadors talk about our campaign
Will Poulter, India Amarteifio, Paapa Essiedu and Romola Garai have recorded a short film to help us amplify our message, which would be wonderful if you can share.
In the UK, welfare is in a state.
The system isn’t working for millions of people. At a time when basic living costs are soaring.
People are doing all they can, but can’t feed their families. Too many are working, but can’t pay the bills.
Welfare benefits should be there to help.
But the system is difficult to navigate.
Millions of people are not accessing the money that is available. And too many don’t have enough to get by.
Turn2us offer easy to use, practical tools to help you work out what you can claim.
We think the social security system needs to change.
It needs to be fair, it needs to be compassionate, and it needs to work for everyone.
