Turn2us, a charity tackling financial insecurity, is delighted to announce that it has been awarded £300,000 raised by players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
Turn2us reaches almost four million people impacted by financial insecurity each year through its grant programmes and tools such as the Turn2us Benefits Calculator and Grants Search.
The generous support from players of People’s Postcode Lottery will mean Turn2us can broaden its impact and pioneer innovative new services. Later this year, the charity will launch the PIP Helper tool, created with disabled people, to offer support through the challenging process of applying for the Personal Independence Payment benefit.
Turn2us launched a new five-year strategy in 2023, outlining plans to challenge the root causes of financial insecurity. The charity will be listening and collaborating widely, including with people experiencing financial insecurity so that they have their say on the decisions that affect their lives.
Turn2us CEO, Thomas Lawson, says:
“A heartfelt thank you to the players of People’s Postcode Lottery for their valuable support. As financial insecurity deepens across the UK, this transformative funding will mean we can increase the scale of our information offer, grants and practical support. At the same time, we will be able to intensify our focus on challenging the root causes of financial insecurity. The support from players of People’s Postcode Lottery is vital in making this all possible."
