Turn2us is pleased to announce the appointment of Marcia Bluck as its new Director of People and Culture, effective 13 January 2025. Marcia joins the organisation with extensive experience in HR, inclusion, and leadership within the charity sector, having held key roles at Mind and Trussell.

Marcia’s proven expertise in fostering inclusive workplace cultures and her commitment to social justice align strongly with Turn2us’s mission to combat financial insecurity in the UK. Her appointment marks a strategic enhancement to the organisation as it continues to support individuals facing poverty and advocate for systemic change.

Thomas Lawson, CEO of Turn2us, welcomed Marcia’s appointment:

“We are thrilled to have Marcia join Turn2us. Her passion for social justice and her strategic vision will help us build a more resilient and compassionate organisation for both our staff and the people we support. Marcia’s leadership will help us ensure that inclusion is embedded throughout all our work – a critical focus, as those facing social barriers are more likely to experience financial insecurity. Her expertise in co-production and safeguarding will strengthen our impact and ensure these principles are at the heart of everything we do.”

Marcia Bluck expressed her enthusiasm for her new role:

“I am thrilled to be joining such a great team at Turn2us as the new Director of People and Culture. I hope that my experience spanning people and inclusion across various sectors, including financial insecurity, mental health, and local and central government, can build on the amazing work already done. I am excited to be part of an organisation that is ambitious in creating a truly inclusive culture that centres co-production and wants to deliver the best for our beneficiaries and staff. Turn2us’s mission to support people facing financial insecurity resonates strongly with my professional journey and personal values, and I am eager to collaborate with our incredible team to drive meaningful system change for all.”

Turn2us is committed to strengthening its organisational culture and ensuring that inclusion and co-production remain central to its strategy and operations.
