Staff and community members from Monzo are taking on the Tough Mudder challenge in support of poverty charity Turn2us. The 10 mile course includes 40 tons of ice, 500,000 litres of mud and 10,000 volts of electricity.
The bank has already raised over £4,000 and aims to raise more by tackling this hard-core course this Saturday. The money raised will provide a lifeline to people trapped in financial crisis and provide a safety net for people just about getting by who are at risk of falling into poverty.
Talking about why they are taking part in Tough Mudder for Turn2us, Monzo’s Shak Welch said: “Like Turn2us, Monzo aims to help people have control over their financial lives, which is why we are very excited to be working together, to raise money and awareness for a growing concern in the UK by completing the Tough Mudder challenge!”
Thanking Monzo for doing Tough Mudder in support of Turn2us, Keshini Mauree from the fundraising team at the Charity said: “We are so grateful to Monzo for taking part in Tough Mudder in support of the charity. They have put so much time and energy into training and fundraising, and then doing this amazing challenge. The money that they raise will go far in helping us fight poverty.”
