Well done to the Turn2us runners in the GNR!
All three of our wonderful runners safely completed the Great North Run (GNR), the world’s favourite half marathon, on Sunday. It was a beautiful warm and sunny day with enough breeze to make for great running conditions and was especially kind to the thousands of spectators who lined much of the route to cheer on the runners!
Mo Farah cruised by our cheering point on the way to his third consecutive win in this event. With some 57,000 runners taking part, spotting ours was not easy task but we were delighted to meet up and celebrate with Menno and Paul at the finish.
First home was Menno Faulkner who completed the 13.1 mile course in the impressive time of 1 hrs 56 mins. Just behind was Paul Audain in 2 hrs 17 mins and Isaac McCleary finished in 2 hrs 25 mins. Not only did they all complete the event with fantastic times, they’ve also raised over £600 for Turn2us!
Even though the race is over you can still support them and help us fight UK poverty:

We are really proud of the guys and, on behalf of everyone here, a massive thank you for representing Turn2us and raising money for people in poverty.
