Employed but still struggling financially?

Share

We all know that teachers help us, doctors look after us and farmers feed us. But sometimes they need help too. Today we’re seeing more and more people struggling to make ends meet despite having long careers.

The Turn2us Elizabeth Finn Fund has been supporting people from different professional backgrounds for over 120 years.

The grants awarded make such a significant difference to an individual or family’s life.

We want to ensure that people who come to us for help become financially stable, independent and have an improved sense of wellbeing.

Meet Dougal

Dougal, who worked for years in the Merchant Navy, sought support from Turn2us after being made redundant at the age of 62.

Eventually Dougal’s redundancy pay and pension ran out and he and his wife, Morag, were unable to meet their bills, including their rent. After identifying Dougal and Morag’s needs, we were able to award a £1,500 grant to help them get back on track.

Dougal said: “The grant allowed us to get back on our feet, pay off the critical priority bills and allowed me time to sort things out”.

Can we help?

If you have someone in mind that is having a tough time we encourage you to take a look at our criteria to see if we can help them.

We award grants to people who hold or have formerly held occupations requiring a certain level of responsibility and education, or whose partners have done so.
